OTTUWMA, IOWA -- The first two days of the 2010 Home Expo in Ottumwa have been busy and crowded.

Organizers say around 4,000 people visited as of Saturday night.

While the main floor of the expo was packed, people also took the time to sit down and listen to one of the five special topics.

Seminar topics included faux finishing, barbequing, selecting the right counter top and getting the biggest bang for your buck when selling your home.

The fifth seminar covered patio and container gardening and was presented by Scott King of Earl May. He says these seminars enhance the expo and offer guests new tricks.

It’s all about extending knowledge, people getting new ideas of ways to do things that maybe they haven’t thought of.  That’s why we’re all here trying to help. Give them some new ideas so they can do their own gardening…or maybe something new they haven’t learned yet,” said King.

Sunday is the last day for the Expo.

If you haven’t been over to the Bridgeview Center yet, your last chance is from noon until 4:00.
