NOVINGER, MO. -- Zachary Wyatt of Novinger announced his candidacy for Missouri District 2 State Representative Tuesday at the Novinger schools library.
After graduating from Novinger High School in 2003 he spent more than six years in the Air Force.
While in the Air Force he attended the Community College of the Air Force as well as The Defense Language Institutes.
He also served as a legislative intern for Senator Christopher Bond’s Office.
“The qualifications of being in the military surpass any degree qualification because I got leadership skills, I was able to work in teams cause if you don't work in a team you could possibly lose your life or someone next to you could lose their life,” said Republican Candidate for District 2 State Representative Zachary Wyatt.
Wyatt, 25, says although he's young he can make a difference in this area and in the state.
He says Missouri can do better especially when it comes to education.
“Education can not be cut. We're seeing a lot of things go through the legislature right now that is the governor's wanting to cut education. That's wrong. Once you cut education you cut the future,” said Wyatt.
