KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Catholic Newman Center at Truman State University will be turning its facility into an 18-hole miniature golf course over the weekend.

Tim Weaks, the president of the organization, is thrilled about opening their doors to the community.

“We figured we had all this space, so why not construct our own miniature golf course” said Weaks.  “It's something Kirksville lacks.  It's a great date opportunity for teenagers and also a way for students to get out and do something fun and help the church at the same time.”

All proceeds go towards paying off the debt of the Newman Center building.

The event it open to all Heartland residents and takes place on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Admission is $3 for children (12 and under), $4 for students, and $5 for adults.  Concessions will also be available.

For any additional information, you can contact the Newman Center at (660) 665-4357.
