MOBERLY, MO. -- The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office has released the results of their investigation that resulted in the deaths of two women in a house fire on January 28, 2010.

The fire has been ruled as accidental, attributed to a cooking incident.

The bodies of two women, later identified as Rebecca Lea Skinner age 56 of Moberly and Britney Carol Tessman age 18 formerly of Mexico, MO, were recovered after the fire was extinguished. Subsequent autopsies of the bodies indicated the cause of death as smoke inhalation.
