FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (AP) -- Rep. Ike Skelton says Fort Leonard Wood will get an additional $111 million to help construct two trainee barracks.
The fort had already received more than $175 million for construction projects in this year's National Defense Authorization Act.
Skelton says in a news release that Congress included a total of $350 million in the defense bill to improve trainee barracks across the country. He says the men and women who serve their country deserve well-maintained training facilities.
