Northeast Missouri meth ring

Five people from Northeast Missouri have entered guilty pleas in connection with a meth ring operating in Scotland County Missouri and Van Buren County Iowa. 

36-year-old Kenneth Thompson of Kirksville, along with 31-year-old Christopher Johnson and 25-year-old Shane Krise, both of Wyaconda, entered guilty pleas to one count each of conspiracy to manufacture in excess of 50 grams of methamphetamine. 

Also pleading guilty was 24-year-old Christopher Armstrong of Memphis. He pleaded to one count of conspiracy to manufacture in excess of 50 grams of meth and one count of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime,  while 28-year-old Michelle Brand, also of Memphis, pleaded guilty to one count of the conspiracy charge and one count of possession of pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of meth. 

 The crimes occurred in late 2008 and early 2009.  Sentencing for all five has been set for March ninth
