FAIRFIELD -- Just one day after Thanksgiving, cities are already looking towards Christmas. The city of Fairfield flipped the switch to reveal its holiday display on Friday night. The Fairfield high school choir sang holiday classics before the lighting. Local resident Deb Davis had the honor of turning the lights on for the first time.
“The timing is wonderful the day after Thanksgiving,” said Brent Willett, executive director of Fairfield area chamber of commerce. “It’s throwing the switch on the holidays.”
Santa Claus also made an appearance for the folks attending. More than 300 people attended the festivities.
