DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- State officials say a report on alleged problems and abuses in a program offering millions of dollars in tax credits to movie makers is taking longer than expected to complete.

The report was expected on Thursday, but officials in Gov. Chet Culver's office and the Iowa Department of Economic Development say it won't be ready until Friday or Monday.

The film office is part of the Department of Economic Development.

The report is by a West Des Moines accounting firm and is expected to help Culver and officials of three state agencies in a wider investigation.

Culver has suspended the program pending the outcome of the investigation.

The issue has led three officials in the Department of Economic Development, including its director, to quit or be fired.
