WAYLAND, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man is behind bars after authorities discovered a marijuana growing operation in Clark County.
Clark County Sheriff Paul Gaudette tells KTVO a joint investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, North Missouri Drug Task Force and the Clark County Sheriff's Office revealed pot plants being grown near Wayland, Mo.
After investigation, authorities searched the Wayland, Mo., residence of Scott Ash. The sheriff says officers found methamphetamine and items linked to growing marijuana at the home. Ash, 44, was arrested Thursday night.
He's charged with producing or attempting to produce a controlled substance - marijuana and with possession of controlled substance - methamphetamine. Ash is being held at the Clark County Detention Center, on a $50,000 cash only bond.
