KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A new, fast-paced, dance inspired workout is taking Kirksville by storm.

It’s called Zumba, and it’s not your typical aerobics class.

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resisitance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba!

“It’s fun! A mixture of pop music as well as salsa to get the hips moving. We have a really good time,” Instructor Claire Christian said.

Zumba is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00p.m. at the Adair County YMCA.
