(OTTUWMA, Iowa) - A short but expensive race for an Iowa House seat ends on Tuesday.
After spending over 250-thousand dollars to attract voters, Republican Steve Burgmeier and Democrat Curt Hanson will find out who will replace John Whitaker in the Iowa House.
The race has attracted state-wide attention as both major parties attempt to determine what voters might be thinking as they gear up for the 2010 general election.
Dan Cesar and Douglas William Philips are also vying for the vacated seat.
Polls will be open for voters in Van Buren, Jefferson and parts of Wapello County from seven a.m. until nine p.m.
