U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa says more than six and a half million dollars is headed to the state for renewable and energy-efficient projects.

Two of those projects are right here in the heartland.

Keith and Gail, Incorporated in Pulaski will receive a $51,000 guaranteed loan and a grant of nearly $34,000 to help replace their grain dryer with an energy-efficient one.

DNA Farm Corporation in Fairfield will get a $38,000 loan, along with a $38,000 grant.

It will also replace a grain dryer with a more energy-efficient model.

The money comes from the Rural Energy for America program.
