(OTTUMWA, Iowa) - The United Way of Wapello County is looking for volunteers.

The organization's annual Day of Caring is Sept. 9

This annual event is one of the largest single day volunteer events in Wapello County. 

Individuals and representatives from local businesses are invited to participate in exciting volunteer opportunities at the partner agency sites. Volunteers can find themselves doing any number of tasks as United Way Partner Agencies like the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

Usually about 125 volunteers give their time to work on about 50 projects
