SIGOURNEY, Iowa (AP) - A man accused in the shooting death of his father in Sigourney in southeast Iowa plans to claim self defense at his trial.
That's according to court documents filed in the case of Kenneth E. Lundy. He's charged with voluntary manslaughter.
His father, Kenneth W. Lundy, of rural Sigourney, was killed on April 2 outside a house.
Authorities say Lundy and his father got into an argument over money. The argument escalated and both men took guns from the house. Authorities say Lundy shot his father, who died at thescene.
