POSTVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Advocates for immigration reform are marking the one-year anniversary of a raid with a vigil and march. The events will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m., when organizers will ring church bells to mark the time a year ago when immigration agents descended on the Agriprocessors kosher slaughterhouse and arrested 389 workers.
At 11 a.m., Postville's Jewish community will hold an unrelated parade on the city's main downtown street to note a religious holiday commemorating the death of a second-century rabbi.
At 4 p.m., organizers will hold a vigil and remembrance at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, followed by a half-mile march to the Agriprocessors plant
