KIRKSVILLE, MO --

K-Life in Kirksville was showered with blessings this weekend.

Volunteers spent their Saturday morning sprucing up the K-Life house. They also did yard work and landscaping on the property. K-Life is hoping to make the spring shower an annual event.

“Our board families have come, a lot of our club kids have come out, and really just spent the day with us to do a little spring cleaning. It's fun to hang out, get some work done and make the house look awesome for kids to come in and enjoy,” said Event Intern Sara Amick.

The community also showered K-Life with gifts of cleaning supplies and other items needed to keep the house running. Staff members say any donations given are appreciated because the program is completely run on a volunteer basis.
