DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Deere & Co. is cutting 120 jobs at its Davenport Works plant, while another 70 jobs are being transferred to the company's Harvester Works in East Moline, Ill.
Deere told the workers on Tuesday. The job cuts are effective Feb. 16.
The company, which is based in Moline, Ill., blames market conditions.
The Davenport Works plant has 720 employees. It makes heavy equipment, including dump trucks and loaders. The Harvester plantmakes combines.
