OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Get your dancing shoes ready, because Ottumwa’s 47th annual Pink Ball is just around the corner.

Festivities take place on Jan. 24 at the Ottumwa Country Club.

The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and go all the way until one in the morning.

All that dancing isn't just good exercise, it's also for a good cause.

“All of the proceeds go to the McCreery Cancer Center, the Rainbow of Hope: Look Good, Feel Better Library. Cost is $35 for single, $70 for couple and $40 for single at the door and $80 for couple at the door," said Pink Ball Committee Member Sherry Hibler.

Hibler also said that residents don't need an invitation to attend the event.

The Pink Ball Committee hopes to raise about $3,000 this year to give to the cancer center.
