KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual banquet on Thursday night.
Local Realtor Mark Whitney won the Hall of Fame award. Whitney is involved with the Salvation Army, the United Way, Kirksville Regional Economic Development Incorporated, the Shrine Club, and Hospice of Northeast Missouri…just to name a few.
Whitney has lived in Kirksville his entire life and has a positive outlook about the community's future. "This is the best leadership we've had. I think we've got great things to come with this group," Whitney said.
Casey Higgins, the Assistant Store Director of Hyvee, won the employee of the year award.
Higgins is active in Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Knights of Columbus.
