The days are numbered until Missouri has a new governor and the nation has a new face in the White House.
KIRKSVILLE, MO --
People all over the Heartland are looking forward to Inauguration Day on both counts. Some are even traveling to the nation's capitol for the new president's big day.

“I think that's the case for every presidential inauguration. It makes history and it's just wonderful to have the opportunity to participate in history. These are things, both the inauguration of the governor of the state of Missouri and of President Obama at the national level, that we will tell our grandchildren about,” said State Representative Rebecca McClanahan.

Although McClanhan will not be heading to Washington D.C., she will be attending the Inaugural Ball for Governor-Elect Jay Nixon on January 12.
