OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The weather outside seems to be frightful, but Heartland residents still need meals that taste delightful.

Icy road conditions have discouraged many from driving the past several days.

We spoke to a few people in Ottumwa that drive for a living to find out if icy roads have decreased or increased their business.

Everyone we spoke to from cab drivers to pizza delivery personnel agreed that the icy road conditions had slowed down their driving speed, but increased their business.

“You tend to see a lot more drivers working at the same time than before, like the summer time. We usually don’t stop driving once we come to work. If we do there’s something wrong,” said David Lutz, Pizza Hut delivery man.

Lutz said as long as it kept snowing he knew he would just keep delivering hot food to those who do not like getting out in this weather.
