KEOKUK, IOWA (AP) -- A church gutted by arson just three months ago caught fire again.
It took more than 30 firefighters to extinguish flames at Bethany Baptist Church in Keokuk on Saturday morning. Police say
they are investigating the cause of the second blaze.
Keokuk firefighters responded to a fire call at 12:12 a.m. on Saturday morning. The historic church was originally was gutted by a fire on September 19. The structure itself is three buildings that were built at different times.
Built in 1857, the church added an addition in 1907.
