KIRKSVILLE, MO -- It might not have been Santa's sleigh and reindeer...but old St. Nick arrived in style Friday night by fire truck, and as always, kids had their lists ready to go.

The most popular items this year are transformers, Barbie dolls, doll clothes, and sports equipment. Of course...the highlight for kiddies was sitting on Santa’s lap.

KTVO asked Santa Claus what he wants for Christmas this year.

I just want peace for everyone and happiness for all the kids, the kids make the Christmas season what it is.

We asked Mrs. Claus what it’s like being married to a man with such a big job.

“Being around him is fun 24 hours a day. I will have to say you never know what's going to come up, what kind of problems the little elves are going to have or what new ideas he's going to come up with. He's always pretty creative,” said Mrs. Claus.

And while Mrs. Claus might be Santa's helper with the kids, he's a good helper at home.

“He also helps in the kitchen, trying out new recipes too, as you can tell,” Mrs. Claus said.
