OTTUMWA, IOWA -- If there's one woman who knows which candidate she's choosing for the U.S. House District Two seat in Iowa, it's Mariannette Miller-Meeks.

The Ottumwa candidate officially cast her ballot Monday afternoon at the Wapello County Courthouse.

Just in case you're wondering, she did vote for herself.

She’s running against Democratic incumbent Dave Loebsack. Miller-Meeks said she has been very busy the past couple of weeks.

"We've been going around traveling those fifteen counties in our district making sure that people had answers to the questions that they needed answered," Miller-Meeks said.

The candidate’s family was on hand to share the exciting moment with her at the courthouse.

She says she's looking forward to seeing all of the results Tuesday night.
