BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- A grandpa’s plea in Bloomfield, Iowa, was answered when his teen granddaughter was found just two hours after our interview with him Sunday.
Authorities believed Paige Alley, 14, was taken by one of her peers, Levi Carlson, 16, nine days ago during a football game in Lathrop, Mo. Both teens were placed on Amber Alert and the FBI worked to locate them.
When we spoke with her grandparents, Paige’s grandfather Ernie Bohi had a special message he wanted to share.
"Paige, if you happen to be watching, remember how Poppy used to hold you when you was little? When you wanted to cry a little bit and I would ask you if you was through and you would shake your head no and I would say go ahead and cry some more and I would hold you until you was through? Well Poppy wants you to come home if you’re watching and I will hold you,” Bohi said.
The teens were found in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sunday afternoon.
