KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A criminal investigation:  that is what detectives with the Kirksville Police Department are calling their investigation into a late-night fire at a Kirksville mobile home park.

Firefighters were dispatched around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Woodland Village Trailer Court on north Centennial Street.

A witness said when fire crews arrived, flames could be seen shooting from the windows on the east end of the trailer.

Firefighters had the fire put out in about 10 minutes.

The mobile home is a total loss.

KPD Detective Justin Jones told KTVO Wednesday afternoon that investigators believe the fire that destroyed the trailer was intentionally set.

The Kirksville Fire Department says the home has not had any utilities since March, no water, no electricity and no gas.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The criminal investigation by the Kirksville Police Department and the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office is continuing.

Authorities are looking into exactly how the fire was started.
