KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A southeast Iowa man is charged with sex crimes against a child.

The Bloomfield Police Department reported Monday that Timothy Lee Clawson Junior, 19, of Ottumwa faces four counts of 3rd-degree sexual abuse.

Police were notified on November 30th of an incident involving Clawson.

The victim is a 12-year-old girl.

Authorities told KTVO Monday night that the alleged crimes happened in Bloomfield on four separate occasions.

The investigation in this case is continuing, and police say more charges are pending.

Clawson is being held in the Wayne County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.

He is in the Wayne County Jail instead of the Davis County Jail due to “security issues.”
