QUEEN CITY -- Band students from five local counties came in one place to showcase their musical talents.

Monday, the Tri-Rivers Conference band performed several musical selections at the Schuyler County High School.

There were a total of 43 band members and 7 musical directors to help this concert come together. The band has been tirelessly working for Monday performance since the beginning of this school year, back in August!

Jessica Nance one of the directors told KTVO that the students had to audition.

"We usually try to pick the better members of our group so that they have a little bit of a challenge," Nance said. "They get to work with different directors, and see new and more difficult music than they're use to seeing.

Band members just recently got their music within the last month.

They then had to pick a piece to audition on, then they were selected.

Students from Knox, Milan, Putnam, North Shelby, Schuyler, and Scotland counties were represented during today's musical performance.
