Morning crash sends teen to hospital

PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- A Heartland teenager remains hospitalized following an early morning crash in Putnam County.
  
Richard Mendenhall, 18, of Unionville, Mo., was injured when the truck he was driving went off the roadway and overturned throwing him from the vehicle.
    
Mendenhall was flown to University Hospital for treatment. The crash happened on Highway 136 west of Unionville around 6 Friday morning. Mendenhall was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
    
He is listed in good condition at University Hospital in Columbia.
