KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Kirksville Leadership Institute (KLI) has had three fundraisers so it can get money to buy several doggie waste stations.
Tuesday night, it had a fundraising event at Colton’s Steakhouse and raised more than $422 for their cause.
Supervisor of the KLI Andy Magruder said this is for a safer environment.
“We are actually setting up doggy stations along the walking trails around the Kirksville High School to kind of encourage the public to pick up after their pets waste just to make it a clean.”
The next and final fundraiser will be at Bellacino's on September 27th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
When you go to eat at Bellacino's on that day, let them know that you're there for KLI
The group is looking to raise a total of $1,000.
