QUEEN CITY, MO. -- A northeast Missouri grandmother is facing a pair of felony charges in connection with an assault accusation.

Vickie Pruett, 56, of Queen City, is charged with abuse of a child and second-degree domestic assault in connection with the incident. She’s currently free on bond.

 According to court papers, Pruett is accused of striking a juvenile family member in the head with her fist. The victim did receive medical treatment as a result of the incident.

Pruett waived formal arraignment this morning in Schuyler County Associate Circuit Court. Her next court appearance is set for March 20th.
