NEAR BOYNTON, MO. -- It's been almost four-and-a-half months since a northeast Missouri woman was found dead in an outbuilding behind her home.

The death of Vickie Anderson, 51, of Boynton, Missouri, was discovered on the morning of March 28, 2012.

Her home is located approximately a mile east of Boynton.

Investigators are still trying to determine if Anderson killed herself or if someone else did it.

Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley told KTVO Monday that he still needs to interview one or two people this week as part of the continuing investigation.

He also said delays with processing of evidence at the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crime lab have also held up the investigation.

He said he understands Anderson's family needs closure, but he doesn't want to rush to any final conclusions without having all possible information related to the case for him to review.

Smiley said he is pushing to have the  investigation wrapped up by the end of the month.
