KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- It's not exactly the crime of the century, but to a two-year-old boy it seems like it.
Over the weekend, someone stole this motorized vehicle belonging to little Keegan Hoover of Kirksville.
He just got it a week ago as an early present for his second birthday.
The vehicle wasn't exactly cheap either. It's worth almost $300, plus Keegan’s mom paid for the extended service agreement for it.
Meghan Hoover told KTVO the Quadracer was taken from their front yard on North Marion Street late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
She has reported the theft to the Kirksville Police Department.
As you might imagine, Hoover and especially her little boy would like to have the vehicle back.
"He noticed it missing, and every time we go outside, that was the first thing that he went for was his Quadracer so he kind of looks around for it and kind of misses it pretty much," said Hoover.
Hoover is hopeful whoever took the toy might have a change of heart and decide to return it.
She said if the thief just leaves it on their front lawn, there will be no questions asked.
In the meantime, Keegan is stuck riding his old-fashioned tricycle.
