MEMPHIS, MO. -- A northeast Missouri woman and her little girl took a scary ride on an ATV this week.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said an ATV operated by Kassie Dugger, 23, of Memphis, Mo. was backing up on private property 10 miles northeast of Memphis Wednesday afternoon when it struck a tree and overturned.

Caviness and her passenger, Lillian Reese, 5, of Memphis, were both thrown from the vehicle.

The highway patrol's crash report states that Reese received minor injuries and was taken by private auto to Scotland County Hospital for treatment.

Dugger told KTVO on Friday that her daughter was not injured. She said she just took the little girl to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution to make sure she was alright.

Dugger was not hurt.
