Missing woman may be in danger

DAVIESS COUNTY, MO. -- UPDATE: Endangered person advisory has been canceled. Missing woman has be found alive and unharmed.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Department has issued an endangered person advisory for Kristy Jo Dixon, 37, of Jamesport, Mo.

According to a news release, on Tuesday, February 26, Dixon left work in Trenton, Mo. and was en route to her home in Jamesport. She did not arrive at the residence and has not been heard from since. Her vehicle, a red Chervrolet Aveo, was found abandoned in a remote area near Gallatin, Mo. on Thursday. The vehicle showed signs of a forced entry.

Dixon is a white female, 5’6” and 225 lbs. She has blondish brown hair, blue eyes and a medium complexion. Dixon has tattoos on her right breast, abdomen, chest and left hip. She also has a scar on her abdomen.

She was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Anyone with any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately contact local law enforcement or the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department  at (660) 663-2031.
