LA PLATA, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man is accused of breaking into a Heartland home while the owner was hiding inside.

Allen Replogle, 21, of Kirksville is charged with first-degree burglary and a misdemeanor count of stealing. He's been released on $20,000 cash only bond.

According to court papers, Replogle is accused of breaking into a La Plata residence while the resident was home.

The victim says she saw Replogle get out of a gold-colored van and ring her doorbell.

The suspect then entered the residence, while she hid on the couch covered up. Replogle is scheduled to be arraigned in Macon County Associate Circuit Court on March 14.
