LA PLATA, MO. -- A crash involving an SUV and a minivan sent three people to the hospital with injuries Friday night.

It happened at 7:15 p.m.on Highway 63 when the vehicles collided at the North Junction in La Plata, Mo.

The highway patrol says a minivan driven by Amie Myers, 28, of La Plata, failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 63 and Route D and drove into the side of an SUV driven by Faith Miller, 28, of Memphis, Mo.

Two passengers in the SUV, Clayton Miller, 29 and Merit Miller, 6,  were taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

Amie Myers also received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The southbound lanes of highway 63 were closed until emergency vehicles and the wreckage could be cleared from the highway.

Southbound traffic was routed through La Plata on Route D.
