Centerville police investigating a hit and run

CENTERVILLE, IOWA -- The Centerville Police Department is asking for the public's help to solve a hit and run involving a pedestrian. 
     
A passerby saw someone lying on the street near the intersection of North Park Avenue and West Washington Street just before 7 p.m. Saturday.
    
The 21-year-old male victim was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
    
The victim says he was struck by a car of an unknown make and model while walking through an intersection.
   
Anyone with information is urged to call the Appanoose County Law Center or the tip line at (641) 437-7100.
