Teen accused of stealing guns

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Heartland teen is behind bars following his arrest on multiple felony charges.
 
Brendan Harris, 19, of Kirksville, is charged with burglary, stealing a firearm and felony theft. He is being held in the Adair County jail under $25,000 cash only bond.
    
According to court papers, Harris is accused of illegally entering a residence on Steer Creek Way and taking three rifles, some jewelry, a flat screen TV and some cash.
    
Harris was later arrested by police in Mexico, Missouri, where he was in possession of one of the stolen rifles.
    
His first court date has not yet been set.
