KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- An investigation into a theft ends with two people in custody and the first meth lab bust of the year by Kirksville Police.

According to court papers, Kirksville Police went to Brandon Bos and Joni Mosley’s apartment on the 3100 block of East Normal St. about a theft investigation. Police took the couple into custody in connection with the theft investigation and searched the residence as a result of the arrests. In the bathroom police found a bottle which appeared to be a completed “one pot” meth lab. Police also discovered another bottle that was in the early stages of meth production. Officers also discovered numerous other items known to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The apartment is located within one hundred-fifty feet of Ray Miller Elementary School in Kirksville.

Bos, 24, of Kirksville, is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within two thousand feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance (meth) and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Adair County Jail under $100,000 cash only bond.
