Ryon Perkins charged with first degree burglary

MACON, MO. -- A break-in at a Macon, Missouri residence lands one person behind bars facing felony charges.

Ryon Perkins, 30, of Macon is charged with first degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglary tools. He is being held in the Macon County jail under $20,000 bond.

According to court papers, Macon Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Daughtery, concerning a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found Perkins in the basement of the residence. When Perkins was searched following his arrest, police discovered a five and a half inch long buck knife. A second search found a cigarette package containing a white pill and a yellow pill, which was identified as Alprazolam.

The first court date for Perkins is scheduled for Thursday in Macon County Associate Circuit Court.
