OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Curtis Bunnell, 38, armed robbery suspect, escaped from custody Monday morning, according to a news release from the Wapello County Sheriff's Office.

Bunnell was in the process of being transported to the Wapello County Courthouse for a court appearance. Bunnell was being held in the Wapello County Jail on $27,000 bond for first degree robbery and third degree criminal mischief.

A warrant for aiding and abetting escape has been issued for Latisha Bunnell, 27, who helped Bunnell escape.

Anyone who has any information regarding Curtis and Latisha Bunnell should contact the Wapello County Sheriff's Office 641-684-4350 or your local law enforcement agency.
