Dale Miller is charged with a felony count of burglary
MACON, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man is behind bars after allegedly being caught red handed while burglarizing a Macon business.
Dale Miller, 53, of Macon, is charged with a felony count of burglary and a misdemeanor count of property damage.
According to court papers, Macon officers received a 911 call just after 2:30 Monday morning that someone was inside the Colonel's Flea Market on Highway 63 in Macon. When officers arrived at the scene, they spotted a white male inside the building, a window at the front entrance was broken and there was damage to the front door.
When the suspect saw police, he ran toward the back of the business. Extra officers were called to the scene and the building was surrounded.
After a standoff, police entered the building and found the suspect hiding in the attic of the business.
Miller is being held in the Macon County jail under $50,000 bond.
