KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Kirksville residents are going to have to pack patience while driving through the city starting this week.

Beginning tomorrow, road crews will begin working on improvements on Franklin Street from Normal Street to Washington Street.

The Franklin Streetscape Project will include new sidewalks, curbs, and street lighting along the west side of Franklin as well as asphalt street overlay.

Drivers are asked to refrain from parking along the west side of Franklin from Pierce Street south to Normal during the time of the improvements as lane closures will be expected and to drive safely in the work zone.

The project will carry on through the winter and be completed by early summer 2013.
