NEAR BRASHEAR, MO. -- UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver of the truck involved in the crash has died.

Investigators said James F. Fanning, 56, of Milan, Missouri suffered a fatal medical condition that caused him to lose control of his truck.

The truck then drove through one building and came to rest inside a second building.

Fanning was transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville where he was pronounced dead just over an hour after the crash.

The crash happened at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday.

A dump truck driver lost control and drove into a building off Highway 6 on Wednesday morning east of Brashear.

"A dump trunk pulling a pup truck was traveling eastbound on Missouri 6. It traveled off the roadway, traveled through a private drive and as you can see it struck a building," said Cpl. E.L. Grissom of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

That building was the ADM Alliance Nutrition building near Brashear.

Many will probably remember the building as the former home of Brashear Ag Service.

One of the co-owners of the building said everything can be replaced as the accident ruined aluminum bins and livestock feed.

No one was in the building at the time of the collision, and the driver was alone.

Numerous emergency personnel responded, including Air Evac.

The male driver was transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, and as of right now, his status is unknown.
