Family overcomes death of twin at birth

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Matt and Jennifer Woodley of Kirksville were set to bring in twin girls, Melanie and Molly, into the world, but a problem occured. During an ultrasound, Jennifer discovered that the twins were diagnosed with twin to twin transfusion syndrome or TTTS.

Doctors cautioned the Woodley's of how serious the condition potentially be.

Jennifer had the twins during what she thought would be another routine operation.

Melanie, passed away shortly after birth. As for Molly, she spent more than 100 days in the hospital but is expected live a healthy life.

Through this process, now more than ever they don't take a day of life for granted.
