OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The American Home Finding Association's WIC and Maternal Health Clinic has a new home.

The clinic is now located on Church Street in Ottumwa, and staff and members of the Ottumwa Chamber of Commerce gathered Thursday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and official opening.

The clinic provides a variety of services for pregnant women, babies and children.

"WIC is a supplemental food program for women, infants and children," said Lacey Dickey, Child Health Coordinator. "Maternal health program is - we serve pregnant and post-partum women and help with any needs that they have. Child health program, children up through the age of 21 with needs, we help with Medicaid, other insurances, doctor's appointments, all kinds of stuff."

The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The staff accepts walk-in patients, but prefers appointments to be made at 682-8784.

Dickey said the staff is very excited to be located in downtown Ottumwa, surrounded by local businesses and in a building that is very centrally located for their patients.
