KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The movie, "The Possession," will have been in theatres three weeks on Friday, Sept. 21.

The response has been so good thus far there may be a sequel in its future.

The movie is based on a book written by Jason Haxton of Greentop called "The Dibbuk Box."

Currently, Haxton says the movie has done really well in theatres. So well, that it's even shocked the producer Sam Raimi.

The movie was made from a budget of $14 million and has already grossed $58 million.

With the success the movie has seen to this point, Haxton says there's definitely talk of the movie having a sequel with his involvement.

"I would probably have a heavier roll, and I’m saying we would probably talk in the sequel about the college students or maybe a historian that has to go through things and has to go through all the Jewish material to tell the story," said Haxton.

As for Haxton, he says his life really hasn't changed much. He's noticed people are more likely to talk to him and he catches people starring at him more.
