KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Ottumwa has been getting ready for Vice President Joe Biden's visit coming up Tuesday.

But, he made an early appearance.

Vice President Joe Biden surprised the campaign volunteers at the Obama Headquarters in Ottumwa around 6:00 p.m.

When he first walked in, Mr. Biden greeted everyone and shook their hands.

He then made a couple of phone calls.

One person didn't answer, so they have a nice voice message from the Vice President, but one couple did.

Vice President Biden is scheduled to speak Tuesday morning at Ottumwa’s Bridge View Center.

The rally starts at 10:45.
