MEMPHIS, MO -- It will soon be easier and safer for pedestrians to walk along the streets of Memphis. This week MoDOT and its contract company began the construction of improvements to the sidewalks located along Business 136 in Memphis.

The contract was awarded for $46,338. Contractors have until October first to complete the project.

MoDOT is excited to bring the sidewalks to the community and emphasizes that safety is their number one priority. The new sidewalks will provide that to individuals traveling in the Memphis area.
